Planted to Last

The Right Start
for a New Tree.

A new tree is a long-term investment. When young trees struggle, it’s often because of what happened on planting day — the wrong species for the spot, a hole dug too deep, or roots left circling from the container.

Our arborists look at your soil, sunlight, space, and nearby structures and utility lines before recommending a tree, then plant it the right way so it can establish quickly.

  • Species recommendations suited to Wisconsin’s climate and your site
  • Placement with room to grow — clear of foundations, roofs, and overhead lines
  • Correct planting depth with the root flare at grade
  • Root inspection and correction before planting
  • Mulching and watering guidance to help the tree establish
  • Replacement planting after a tree removal

Species Selection

We recommend trees that fit your space, soil, and goals — shade, privacy, screening, or color — and that handle Wisconsin winters.

Site & Placement Planning

We check sun, soil, drainage, and clearance from your home, driveway, and overhead lines so the tree has room to grow for decades.

Proper Planting Technique

Planted at the correct depth with the root flare visible, roots loosened or corrected, and the hole backfilled so the tree settles in well.

Aftercare Guidance

Clear watering and mulching instructions for the first seasons, when a new tree needs the most help to establish.

Common questions

Tree Planting FAQ

When is the best time to plant a tree in Wisconsin?
Spring and early fall are usually best — temperatures are mild and there’s enough moisture for new roots to grow. We’ll recommend timing based on the species and your site.
It depends on your space, soil, sunlight, and what you want from the tree. Our arborists recommend species suited to Southeast Wisconsin and your property, and steer you away from trees that will outgrow their spot.
Often, yes. After a removal and stump grinding we can plan a replacement tree — sometimes in the same area, sometimes a few feet away where the soil and space are better. We’ll advise on site.
New trees need regular, deep watering through their first growing seasons and a ring of mulch that isn’t piled against the trunk. We’ll give you simple care instructions when we plant.
Cost depends on the size and species of the tree, how many trees you want planted, and site access. We provide free on-site estimates — call 262-710-2796 or fill out our quote form.
