Tree Removal
How much does tree removal cost in Southeast Wisconsin?
Every tree is different — size, species, location, and site conditions all affect the price. We don’t quote without seeing the tree first, because any number we give you over the phone isn’t worth much. Estimates are always free, there’s no obligation, and you’ll have a firm number before any work begins. Call 262-710-2796 or fill out our quote form.
How long does tree removal take?
Every tree is different, so the time required depends on factors like the tree’s size, location, condition, access, and the equipment needed. Some removals can be completed in just a few hours, while larger or more complex projects may take multiple days. During your estimate, we’ll explain the process and provide a realistic timeline for your specific job.
Do you remove all the debris after tree removal?
Yes. All logs, brush, and wood chips are removed from your property when we leave.
Can you remove trees near my house, fence, or power lines?
Yes — that’s exactly where our equipment shines. Our 72-ft tracked spider lift accesses trees in tight spaces next to structures, fences, and utility lines without heavy wheels on your lawn. The Effer 225 Grapple Saw gives us precise control for removals near anything you need to protect.
Will you damage my lawn during tree removal?
We use ground protection mats before any equipment enters your yard and our tracked equipment minimizes ground pressure. Tree work is real work in real conditions — we do everything in our power to protect your property. If something does get damaged, the Property Protection Guarantee means we fix it on our dime. Every time.
Should I get the stump removed at the same time?
Is Husky Tree Services insured?
Yes — fully insured with general liability and workers’ compensation on every job. Proof of insurance is automatically included with every quote. You don’t need to ask for it.
Storm Damage & Emergencies
What should I do if a tree falls on my house?
Call our storm emergency line immediately: 262-402-3990. While you wait: stay out of structurally compromised rooms, do not attempt to move the tree yourself, and if there are downed power lines or risk of structural collapse, leave the house and call 911 first.

Trimming & Pruning
When is the best time to trim trees in Wisconsin?
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. The ideal pruning season depends on the tree species. Some trees can be safely pruned year round, while others should be trimmed during dormancy to promote long term health and reduce the risk of pests and disease. Dead, diseased, or hazardous limbs should be removed promptly regardless of the season.
Can improper trimming damage my tree?
How much does tree trimming cost in Southeast Wisconsin?
Cost depends on tree size, species, number of trees, and what trimming is needed. We offer free on-site estimates — call 262-710-2796 or fill out our quote form and we’ll come out to assess.
How often should I have my trees trimmed?
Most mature trees benefit from professional pruning every 3–5 years. Young trees may benefit from structural pruning more frequently in the early years. Fruit trees often need annual pruning. The right interval depends on species, age, and goals — we can advise during your estimate.
Do you clean up after trimming?
Yes. All branches, brush, and wood chips are removed from your property. We don’t leave until the job is done and your yard is clean.
Stump Grinding
How deep do you grind stumps?
We grind 6–8 inches below grade as standard — deep enough to eliminate the visible stump, allow seeding or sodding, and prevent regrowth in most species. If you need deeper grinding for a specific project, let us know.
What's the difference between Grind & Go and Full Restoration?
Grind & Go means we grind the stump and leave the grindings in place — they decompose naturally and the area is ready to seed. Full Restoration means we grind, remove all grindings, and level with topsoil — ready for sod immediately. Full Restoration is the better choice for high-visibility areas or if you want a completely finished look.
Why should I remove the stump?
Stumps attract carpenter ants and termites, harbor fungal disease that spreads to nearby trees, create trip hazards, kill surrounding grass, and allow roots to continue growing underground — potentially damaging foundations and utilities. The sooner you remove it, the fewer problems it causes.
Can you grind stumps near my house, fence, or landscaping?
How much does stump grinding cost in Southeast Wisconsin?

What do I do with the stump grindings after Grind & Go?
You can rake them level, use them as garden mulch, or seed right over them.
